Hostel Chalé Mineiro

This is a great hostel! Highly recommended to anyone... The common area is awesome with an open kitchen... so you can cook with friends and interact with other people at the same time. The keep everything clean, they actually clean everyday (I know sound weird, but you will surprise how many hostels don't do that..) Breakfast is good (although I wish they offer more fruit and eggs) Overall experience was really good. Location was good for me, but I guess that will depend on each person. Staff super friendly. Confortable beds, pillow and sheets. It has a nice pool, although It was too cold when I was there to go into the water. But a great plus in summer! The offer netflix which was awesome! Last night was cold and windy so I watch a movie instead of going out. Big plus! (I don't do really often, but I was feeling a good movie. I watched Gandhi, very moving movie)

I stayed for one night and my experience was 10/10, one thing I will highlight for anyone who sees this review is the following: QUIET, if you are looking for a place to rest your head, be free from noise, this hostel is perfect. It's on a very quiet street, everyone is always talking quietly, you can't hear any noise, I'll definitely go back to stay longer. Positive points: Very calm, peaceful place, SUPER silent, I loved that there are a lot of rules regarding sounds and conversation. Everything is extremely clean, the hostel has a great clean smell, the room doesn't even mention it, the towels smell super nice, everything is very organized, especially in the kitchen. Extremely wooded environment, full of plants and nature, which leaves the outside area very cool, the room I didn't find hot or stuffy, it has a ceiling fan that does a great job, the TV is smart, it has subscription streaming. I stayed in suite 12 and I thought it was great, the bathroom is small, but for one or two people it's perfect and it even has a hygienic shower. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable. The cleaning lady, extremely friendly, chatted briefly with us and was very smiling. No one kept bothering us, chasing us, saying things, we feel very comfortable in this part. Next to the hostel there is a subsway, drugstore Araújo, Sacolão, on the street from the hostel there is a distributor, and it is very close to the subway and there is a bus at the door. Points to improve: This wouldn't be something negative, but feedback for the hostel that will make the experience even better. The reception could have been more friendly and pleasant, when we arrived we rang the doorbell and intercom many times and no one answered, I had to call on the phone for them to open the gate and when they opened the door, the person who opened it didn't look good at all, It seemed like we were bothering them when we arrived and I don't know how they didn't see us at the gate, given that the doorbell is quite loud with a camera that can be seen outside (I understand that they could be busy, but it gave a bad impression). And people, turn off the sound of that calculator for the love of God, the calculator beeps all night and then in the morning, it's so annoying lol I'm laughing, but it's serious, extremely irritating, I'm autistic and I have hearing sensitivity and it sounded like the noise of someone messing with the air conditioning and it wasn't, it was a calculator because it was so loud. I found the signs with the rules very unnecessary and visually polluting the environment, only place them inside the rooms. Also talk to the employees/volunteers to avoid staying in common areas talking so loudly on the phone (this was the only time there was an extra conversation that I didn't like), my husband and I would stay upstairs at night and there was a employee on the phone talking too much on the phone to the point that I couldn't stay there with my husband. For breakfast I really missed cheese bread and some fruit, I woke up at 8am to eat and there wasn't any, Minas Gerais coffee needs some cheese bread. The wifi should also be better, it was too slow to watch Netflix. Other than that, that's it, my experience with you was very good and fruitful, I want to go for a longer stay, congratulations!

The Hostel is simply incredible! Super, mega, hyper clean, but very clean! The cleaning and organization of the Chalet is much better than many hotels out there. The employees are kind and very polite! Excellent location, close to everything, plus the Chalet is super safe! I will definitely stay again without a doubt. The cleanliness of the Chalet is impressive! The crowd really appreciates it! Thanks guys for having me! Hope to return soon!

I didn't have a good experience. Because the simple rooms don't have ventilation through windows... There was a lot of dust in the rooms, windows, and bed. But so far so good, the problem is guests using drugs in an environment that I thought was familiar. - employee is very calm and understandable. - Breakfast is also not pleasant. With cutlery and cups, etc... We didn't have a good experience. I will not stay here again! And I don't recommend it.
